About Ron

Before the term “mental training” or “mental coach” became popularized, the task of teaching golfers how to play better golf was in the hands of the good and wise golfers of that time.  I learned most of my golf playing skills by playing with, watching, and picking the brains of golfers who were better and more successful than me.

While at the University of New Mexico on a golf scholarship I majored in psychology.  There I learned the technical aspects of how the brain and emotions relate to playing better golf.

During the 1980’s and early 90’s I was a member of the PGA European Tour.  I was never afraid to ask the great players if I could join them for a practice round.  Most were happy to have me join them.  I asked as many questions as I could while at the same time watching how they approached playing golf and made their decisions on tactics and strategy.

Today I have the advantage of being a successful tournament professional having won tournaments in Europe and the United States while playing alongside most of the best golfers of all time.  Moreover, I also have the psychological training from my university degree along with further specialized training in sports psychology.

My goal is to share this information with you and help you become the best golfer that you can be and reach your golfing goals.
